Medical Schema Markup
Structured data (schema.org JSON-LD) that describes medical entities, conditions, and pages in a machine-readable format.
Medical schema markup uses schema.org vocabulary such as MedicalWebPage, MedicalCondition, Physician, and FAQPage, encoded as JSON-LD, to describe a page's medical content explicitly to search engines and AI systems, rather than leaving them to infer meaning from prose alone.
Example
A practice page marking up its physician's credentials with Physician and medicalSpecialty schema so that search engines can surface that information directly in results.
Nuance
Schema markup does not by itself make unverified medical claims more credible — it only makes existing, accurate claims easier for machines to parse and cite correctly.
